Oh deffo! One option might be the as-yet-unannounced flash-mob cataloging party we're planning with the Rhode Island Audubon Society library. Granted, it's in Rhode Island, not Boston, but we'll carpool down, wield our cuecats in their general direction, and BAM - they'll have cataloged all their books into LibraryThing.

that sounds like fun. maybe something strictly social as well? i think last time a bunch of folks got together in harvard square for hobnobbing and book shopping. anybody up for something like that?
