Well, not really mutts but I like combining my love of LT with my love of dogs and my love of taking pictures. So I'll post here from time to time and if no one comments...I'll post less often.

Let's see what happens

ETA: pictures are pretty big so you may want to skip this thread if you have dial up.

This is a lovely old soft-coated wheaten terrier, named Buckwheat, who is coming to live with us for a few months.

Can you see Greta Garbo - outsitting in her field.

awww I love old dogs, most have a sparkle of wisdom in their eyes.
Why does Buckwheat come to you for some months?

And finally, Czar Nicky, at his ease.

msg #4: Buckwheat's mom went to France with Wensleydale and Tug, her two Corgiwyn, and Ms Lillian, her cat. She did not think shy Buckwheat would do well with such a big change. I think she's right, so we are trying a smaller change. He'll come live with me, Greta Garbo and Czar Nicky. We live only about an hour from his home, where I am currently, housesitting.

That's the story.

Here's Czar Nicolas, looking more regal, don't you think?

What beautiful dogs!! I love soft-coated wheaten terriers. They just look huggable all the time.

Now, hasn't Buckwheat spent some time at your house before? For some reason I think I remember something about maybe getting him for good. Or was that someone else. Maybe I'm hallucinating.

No, no hallucinations. I have spent time at Buckwheat's house several times before and I have gotten to know him pretty well. Also, he has learned that the miniature schnauzers are not as bad as their barking might lead him to believe. However, he has never before come to my house.

And...as for permanent. Maybe. Ann and I talked about letting this fostering time be a test case to see if his being with me forever makes sense to me, to my dogs, to her, to my vet... ah, we shall see what we shall see.

Here is Greta Garbo dreaming of having one more dog living with us, and she is happy to note: He does not try to sleep on/in the human's bed. This is a good thing because I don't think I have the room on my double bed for three dogs.

Maggie-I just added you as a contact (I'm hwoodruff on Flickr) so don't be alarmed. It's not some strange nobody. Well maybe strange, but at least you know me. :D

I saw that and recognized you because of "the boys". I added you back. Fun.
