Oh my god, I feel like I've killed the Kindley Book Club! Maybe I talk too much? Tell you what: if you all come back I'll shut up for a month and just read what you all have to say.
I couldn't help myself. This was such a vibrant and fun group of people I just got carried away. My bad.

Hi Mike,
I'm sure it's not you! (And who you calling a kid???)
I've noticed most of my groups are pretty quiet the last few weeks. Maybe it's the season, everyone getting ready for summer or winter, depending on where they live.

I've just been busy doing 'stuff'. Downloading new free books every day. Reading, riding my trike, doing my fused glass art work. Now that I'm retired I don't seem to have a free minute!

Hi Garry,
What is a trike? I don't know how to ride a bike, so is this for me?
Just finished The Devil and Daniel Webster, which was great fun -- very short. I am thinking of reading The Narrative of Sojourner Truth next (touchstone for Sojourner Truth not working).

I should have been more specific. It's a recumbent trike. They're extremely comfortable, and great if you have have balance problems.
Here's a link to the type I have:

Sorry, I really am on vacation. Went to Ireland with a couple of girlfriends, not due to go home until the 11th. :)

Mike,
Oh yeah??? Well, put up your dukes!
(heh, heh - that's to see if Krazy4Katz knows that one....)

I do! I do! But my brain is fuzzy about where I first heard it.... Probably need to drink some of those anti-aging drinks...

Auntmarge64... When I said you make me feel so young, I intended it to be a compliment. Like in the old song: "You make me feel so young; you make me feel there's things to be done, songs to be sung, and a wonderful fling to be flung...etc." I'm sure I'm much older than you, so I'm not putting up my dukes. I'm sure I'd lose.
k4k...I followed your instructions about converting PDF files into Kindle files. It worked. Thank you. In fact, the books I sent to Amazon in PDF came out better on my kindle than most of my kindle books. Instead of charging me 10 cents, however, Amazon charged 15 cents for one book and 65c for the other. But thanks much.

Mike, I'm just teasing you....

IronMike, the Wall Street Journal had an article yesterday about Kindles and they mentioned that Amazon had just changed its pricing policy on sending pdfs. It's based on size now, I think. I didn't read that part carefully since it's not something I've done.

Hey, been a while since I have been on. Been crazy busy at work, we have had several layoffs and my work load has ...increased to say the least. Fortunately I am the only programmer in a company that is saying their strategy is to move all their stuff online. Makes me harder to get rid of anyway. ;) Doesn't make me safe, I mean how safe is it to be the last guy on the Titanic? I have also started Guitar lessons, I always wanted to learn so I bought a guitar and am starting to learn. (I almost have Puff the Magic Dragon down, my next song will be American Pie by Don McLean.)
