I love everything fictional and non fictional need some recommendations on new reading material.
I have not entered my entire library it will take some time. hope someone can help.I like books set in ancient eygpt

Not knowing what you have read. I recommend going to the search tab and entering the tagmash ancient egypt, fiction. There are over 150 books listed if you do this.

Have you read the Reluctant God by Pamela F. Service? It moves back and forth between modern-day America and Ancient Egypt.

You said you have read Pauline Gedge, but she has two newish books out:
The Twice Born and Seer of Egypt They seem to be only published in Canada, but are available on Amazon

Also Michelle Moran has a new book Cleopatra's Daughter which is out in the UK but not yet released in the US.

Nick Drake's new one seems to be only available in the UK

Ancient Evenings by Norman Mailer

The Memoirs of Cleopatra is a big, fat, utterly absorbing novel by the (IMNVHO) queen of historical fiction.

I already read Twice Born and The Seer of egypt ,Got Tutankamun by Nick Drake, Men Of Bronze,Year of the Hyena, But thank you I can go on Amazon and do some shopping.

Already have that one, thank you and I have Ancient Evenings and absolutly hated it.

I thought Ancient Evenings was dry and not really a fun read, but I didn't hate it.

The second Brad Geagley book does take place in Babylon, but its still the Egyptian investigator and I enjoyed it more than the first one.

I also recently read The Hand of Isis by Jo Graham which is a Cleopatra book.

And Colleen McCullough has a wonderful HF series The Masters of Rome that is set at the end of the Roman Republic. The last couple of books involve Egypt. The series isn't done, but the author is not able to see very well anymore and has said that makes it very difficult to do the necessary research, so I don't know if there will be more or not.

They are very good, and quite complex in terms of characters, history and plot, so I don't know if you could really only read the last 2 and 'get' everything.

I just got a book that is about Ancient Egypt, Amarna after Akhenaten. It is called The City of Refuge by Diana M. Wilder, ISBN: 0-75962-562-X. So far I am the only one who has it on LT. I think it is self-published, so I have no idea of the quality, but I got a used copy from Amazon.

I have the following on my wish list and haven't purchased them, so I can't say anything about the quality. Some have been hanging around a while because they are either self-published or suspected to be. Some are not, but are new and still in hardcover. I don't buy books until they are published in paper. Some are just there and I have no great rush to get them.
