Hi all. I would love some suggestions for read aloud novels for primary aged children (8-12 years). I teach in Sydney Australia. Thanks( in advance) for your help and ideas.

If they're doing some of the reading, you may try Joyful Noise: Poems for Two Voices, a Newbery-winning collection of poetry all about insects.

Some of our favorites are the several magic books by Edward Eager such as Seven-Day Magic and Half Magic. Also the Great Brain books by John Fitzgerald, they are fun and appeal to a wide audience.
