Hi there we all seem to have gone very quiet. What about posting a message saying what you're reading now? I'm reading Life Mask by Emma Donoghue and loving it. I like historical novels and I love the Anne Damer character. It's very unsentimental and intriguing.

Just finished going through The Blue Place, Stay and then Always, the three books on Aud Torvingen by Nicola Griffith. Thought her descriptions were marvelous images, her creation of Aud unique and the development of the character across three books never flaged.

Am reading fun famiiy by Alison Bechdel and lots of police procedurals. Also picked up a collection of stories called girl2girl. forgot who wrote it. My goal this year to to try and write down all the books I read. Usually two or three a week. Looking forward to getting swan thieves from library. Has anyone read it yet?

hi, Just joined the Group. I just saw the posting about reading 5 books at once- if I'm not doing that you need to check my pulse. I'm currently reading Oranges aren't the Only Fruit, Tipping the Velvet, Palace Walk, Finder, On Ugliness and Leaves of Grass. Off and on with the last two, but in ugliness is proving really inspirational with my studio work. All that darkness and monsters, it's like I'm 9 and staying up late to watch the King-Kong/Godzilla double feature.

I'm going to have a look at On Ugliness now - it sounds fascinating.

I'm reading Affinity Bridge now.
