I was glad to see there was a Westerns group on Library Thing. My favorite western authors include Louis L'Amour, Matt Braun, and John Benteen. I'm currently reading Buck Colter by Matt Braun. Also enjoy anachronistic TV and movie westerns such as Bearcats!, Wild Wild West, The Professionals and The
Wild Bunch.
Am compiling chronologies for the Gunsmith, Longarm and Slocum series based
on their encounters with historical figures such as Wyatt Earp and Lily Langtry.

I am new to. I collect adventure novels from 1890-1940 so there for I get a lot if westerns and I enjoy reading them. Some of the more recent westerns that I have read is (The Covered Wagon) by ((Emerson Hough)) and (The Spoilers) by ((Rex Beach)). The spoilers was very good so I am now tring to find more Beach novels. I have recently purchased two Zane Grey novels but I have not read Zane since High School 25 years ago. I also read a lot of the avalone westerns that I pick up at library sales: these I take to work to read at lunch for I do not have to worry about damaging them.
