I took care of a friend's Golden Retreiver for her for a few days. Bayley is only a year old. My Golden Ginger is 5. Those dogs wore me out. I was sad to see Bayley go, but kind of glad too.

I used to dog/house sit for a couple of professor's when I was working on my undergrad degree. I was also working 2 jobs, so I was always busy. Of course I would only do one house sitting at a time, but it was kind of weird to spend the night at someone elses' house when I lived in town too.

Funny story about dog sitting: I went home once. To my own home. About midnight I realized it and went to the house I was supposed to be at. I couldn't remember if I fed the dogs (there were 3) on my dinner break, so I fed them. Turns out I did feed them on my dinner break.

One time I babysat for a VERY cute little poodle. However, in the middle of the night, she had to go out. I wasn't awake, so my mom got up to let her out. The poodle was so scared of my mom in her bathrobe, she ran back upstairs and went to the bathroom there. That WAS NOT fun to clean up in the morning. The next day, my mom wore the same outfit as the previous day, because she didn't want to scare the dog any further.
