At one time, if I remember correctly, power edit would let you sort the tags you had assigned to a work in alphabetical order. Has this feature been removed? If so, is there a way to sort tags for a work or many works?

Power edit? Not that I remember.

But it is a setting in edit profile: http://www.librarything.com/editprofile/misc

It did used to be part of power edit but was moved to the profile when Tim changed how tags worked underneath. As I recall, though, there was a catch that had to do with the way the tags are displayed and the way they're represented internally are different.

I think the catch was that sorting your catalog by tag uses the internal representation, which doesn't change when you specify on your profile that you want your tags within the tag field displayed in alphabetical order, so when you sort your catalog you may not get what you expect.

>2 Nicole_VanK: It seams to me that the feature of tag sorting is not available any more.

Questions: did sort apply (in the past) on all books
a) from the own catalog?
b) also from other member catalogs / books (in "/details/" display)?
c) case by case for own books and books of other members?

Tags for a work are availabele with some days delay. Have there been any plans to implement a "recalculate" feature for tags?
