Ok, just started reading this, and am LOVING IT. I find myself saying Falcone instead of Marcone, but then again I'm a Batman fan, so what can I say. I'm definitely stocked to find out what blew those two people's hearts out of their bodies (*cringes at the thought*), and why.

Storm Front is definately a great begining to the series. =)

Just finished Storm Front and absolutely loved it! In fact, I devoured it in a day and then started to read it again. I can hardly wait to get to a bookstore tomorrow and see if I can find the rest of the series.

To paraphrase Rick, "I think this is the beginning of another must-read series." :)

It is a must read series. =) As with most new series the first book is the worst of the lot. Which is saying a lot when it comes to Storm Front as it was an excellent book.

So happy that you've stumbled across it Storeetllr.

As it's the first book I've actually purchased as opposed to borrowed from friend or library in a good long time, I was hoping it would be good. It definitely was that! :) If as you say it's the least of them all, oh man! am I in for a treat!

Definitely worth purchasing, Storeetllr (does that stand for storyteller?). I don't usually buy new books, but I've bought most of the Dresden books. And I'm keeping them, too, since I'm certain to read them again. Glad you enjoyed Book 1; let us know how you like Fool Moon.

I've liked the series so much that I actually bought White Night in hard cover....which is not something that I normally do. There are very few authors that I'll splurge on for hard cover.

Just started rereading the series in preparation for recieving my copy of Changes. Didn't pre-order for some reason I know not, so not assured, but my inner bibliophile is hoping for a first edition first printing. I am constantly reminded of why this series is so awesome. Its one of the few that I routinely bust out with audible reactions to what I'm reading in terms of novels.

I found the difference between this book and my memories of the later books rather striking. Harry comes off as much more of a detective noir type character in some ways than he does in the later books, although its certainly there under the surface later on.

I agree DeusExLibrus the first book is definately more a detective type story and later on its story shifts so that is only a basic element as its more Harry saving the world.
