Has anyone else here read this? Has anyone else here read Margaret Atwood's Penelopiad? I loved both of these and read them immediately after finished my re-read of the Odyssey for Bloomsday this last June.

I haven't heard of "The Lost Books," but did read The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood. I thought it was delightful and sent it out as a bookray at Bookcrossing.com so more folks could enjoy it.

The Lost books of the Odyssey by Zachary Mason has 8 reviews on the works page, and I may try to get it at some point.

I have read The Penelopiad twice and I don't reread many books. Haven't heard of The Lost Books of the Odyssey but will check out the LT reviews.

Yes, I've read the Penelopiad, and like the reader above, I plan to read it again. But next up on my list is An Arrow's Flight, which is Mark Merlis' post modernist homoerotic take on the story. It feels as though there's some English professor out there who could teach an entire semester on the Odyssey and its literary descendants in the 20th and 21st Centuries!

<5 An Arrow's Flight sounds interesting. Hope you review the book on this thread.

I finished The Odyssey yesterday then I watched The Life Guide (2023) on You Tube which had maps as well as the story.
