- Earl Gregg Swem Library is located on Landrum Drive at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States. The library is named for Earl Gregg Swem, College Librarian from 1920-1944.
Serving as the main university library, Swem provides access to books, periodicals, government documents, multimedia, and a wide array of online databases. It supports an information commons, a media production center, an interactive graphics lab, and a special collections research center. Mary Comes to the College with William will follow the first year women were admitted to the College of William and Mary 90 years later beginning with the endorsement of the proposed legislation by the College's Board of Visitors on February 12, 1918, through the end of the spring term in 1919.
