This day was a learning experience as well as fun for everyone in attendence. The 8th Va. Vol In. Reg. shared children's toys, parlor games, activities by the Ladies' Aid Society, music and soldier's displays. The Dance Ensemble of Spottsylvania County demonstrated dances and included the public in their lessons. Frances Allshouse Robinson demonstrated the many layers of clothing worn by women of the era.
