Condensare la storia della comunicazione in cinquecento pagine non è cosa semplice. Ed evidentemente il livello di approfondimento ne risente. Indubbiamente si tratta di un volo pindarico, ma offre spunti di riflessione ed elementi nuovi di conoscenza. Soprattutto nella prima parte nella quale viene rassegnata, perché di questo si parla, la storia della comunicazione prima della stampa. Abbastanza banale dalla televisione in poi, in un resoconto che aggiunge ben poco a quanto già detto da altri; e prima. Uno strumenti di consultazione sicuramente utile; ma non di più. ( )
