This book was incredibly difficult to read and finish. It is a documentary of the attempted extermination of Native Americans by the Europeans and Americans over a period of 400 years. Hitler was a piker compared to what was perpetrated against these people. It was hard to continue reading about and it took me along time to finish. In the United States alone in 1990 there were only 2 million of the people left. This is also about a people against insurmountable odds who still survive and are working to preserve their identities. ( )

A brilliant history of the North American native Indian nations ( )

Really more of a tie-in for the PBS Special. It's pretty to look at, but light on information. ( )
