A re-issue containing two of Palmer's classics, and unfortunately they haven't worn terribly well. Still, if you're curious regarding the continued trials, tribulations and loves of Jacobsville, Texas - where an inordinate amount of the men are current or ex-military, -CIA, -FBI, -DEA, -mercenary, or whatever else have you that carries a gun and is deadly in or out of bed; where the curiously innocent/naive women are mainly marking time some sort of semi-subservient career before marrying the men of their dreams... What can I say, obviously the formula works. But there was more passion in her earlier characters - these four are pretty flat. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

"Cattleman's pride : He was strong, seductive and set in his ways. She was shy, unassuming and achingly innocent. Yet when Jordan made it his personal crusade to help Libby hold on to her beloved homestead, everyone in Jacobsville knew it was just a mattber of time before wedding bells chimed."--Dust jacket flap.
