They seem great at first, and everyone enjoys surfing the internet. A problem arises when Papa notices that his family is spending all of their time on the computers. He discusses internet safety with the kids, and decides to limit their use to one hour a day. The family is bummed, but they quickly get back to having fun like they used to: playing outside, reading books, talking about their day, seeing movies. After struggling with my own computer troubles, I can relate this story. I know how addictive technology can be, and it is important teach children proper use. I think this book addresses the issue well, while adding the element of fantasy with the bear family, keeping the child’s interest. I would read this book to my class the first time we used computers. I would explain that computers are very useful and fun, but we must monitor our time on them. Then I would discuss internet safety rules, and tell the students never to share personal information online. Another idea is to have the students make a list of activities they can do in their free time, other than playing on the computer. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
