I liked the angle of why Bleu had insomnia and the politics of the werewolf pack. For me they acted as a good link to 'reality' (whatever that's regarded as) and anchored it down so that it seemed as if these events really could be happening somewhere in the world hidden away from 'the mundanes' ( ) Sometimes...every once in a very long time...the characters of a book are so well written that I fall in love with them in the very first paragraph. Such was the case with Blacque/Bleu! Oliver Bleu and Lukas Blacque grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and held me, immobilized, until the conclusion of their story. So good that I didn't want it to end and I can only hope that Ms. McBride will continue their tale at some point in the very near future! (Will begging help?) Well, I finally found a male/male action book with actual paranormal plot. Not a bad book, but there did seem to be a lot of sex that stood for relationship building. The only thing that irritated me was the names of Black and Blue. They never went by their first names and I got confused on who was who. I will give other books by this author a shot. I really liked this book because I really like the dynamic between werewolves and vampires and really like when those two are males fighting internal conflict. Blacque being tattooed and pierced and definitely alpha made him uber sexy, throw in the fact that he's fighting a losing battle against feelings for an equally sexy vampire just seals the deal for me. The secondary characters were also well written and I actually cared enough about them to not be bothered when they interacted with Blacque and/or Bleu. The names of the main characters kinda confused me at times since they were so similar and a few times I had to reread certain parts to make sure I had the right person with the right name. I'll probably read this book again sometime in the future and am looking forward to the next in the series even though the next book is about the character we learned the least about only appearing briefly a couple times and not enough to be invested in his development, so here's to hope he's interesting enough to carry his own book. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
