A good option for reluctant young readers, zombie fans, book lovers and librarians. ( ) Adam is determined to buy a classic movie monster book for his mother's birthday. Not even something like an electrical storm will deter him. Little does he know that the storm has brought several old books to life, creating a library book zombie. Part of the Return to the Library of Doom series, Michael Dahl uses the power of sound to curdle the blood in our veins in this bone-chilling tale. And using his gift of illustration, Bradford Kendall brings the horror to life. What are you waiting for? Go pick up Zombie in the Library today, and, while you're at it, be sure to check out other chilling titles in the series. (read the whole post) This is sort of cute and sort of scary at same and the same time. Adam wants to buy a book at the library book sale for his Mum, as it is about films and contains pictures from her favourite film, "The Library of Doom". But a big storm brews up and when he eventually gets there, the books have been thrown into the wheelie bin by the over contentious cleaner. The bon has been hit by lightning and a book Zombie appears. The sort of book spiders were rather more creepy, if you ask me. The pedant in me would also like to point out that, contrary to the title, the Zombie is not at any point in the narrative, actually inside the library.
