When you've loved before and given everything to it and it fails, it so hard to be willing to make yourself that vulnerable again. While this story is full of BDSM elements it really brings home the message that locking oneself away from the world to avoid pain isn't the right choice.

This is an emotional rollercoaster of a story, of course most of Joey's books are. I have looked forward to each book in this series. Excited about these wonderful men finally finding their happily ever after. It would so nice if there were more men like this in the world. There is something intriguing and wonderful about a man that wants to protect and cherish the woman he loves, to give her what she needs even when she might not realize what it is that she is longing for. I was so angry at Cole, Rachel husband's, when he confornted her at the club. I don't know why we have to be so mean to each other. Why we have to blame our short comings on those we love. I cheered for Rachel through the whole book. She was so broken and lonely she broke my heart. Jon was so perfect for Rachel, knowing what she needed to help her heal and reach for the love that had been denied her for so long. I am going to have to go back and read Peter's story. I am not sure how I missed that one but it is going to have to be read soon. ( )
