Cute picture book about Mom’s lab being the most comfortable place to read a book. Unfortunately the story doesn’t show explain that bringing the book outside got the THE BOOK wet, also and that the sticky fingers from the kitchen would also damage the book. Is discouraging reading anywhere but on Mom’s lap is a positive lesson? ( ) I liked this book for because the story encourages children to read and shows reading in a positive light. The little boy would stop at nothing to find a great place to read his book, this determination is something that all students should be encouraged to have. The big idea of this story is to never give up! In The Best Place to Read, a young boy finally finds his love for reading, but shortly after is posed with the problem of finding the best place to begin his reading. The reader is taken through the young boy’s house as he searches for a place to read. Some places are hard to fit, already being occupied, or are too loud to read peacefully. The boy finally realizes that the best place to read has always been there-his mother’s lap. This simple picture book is a perfect book to have in an early elementary classroom (grades K-3). It is a great introduction to a discussion about the best and most appropriate places to get work done, including reading. It is important for students to understand where they can get their best work accomplished, and avoiding distractions is important when doing this. A mother’s lap may not be the best place for all students to read, but this book will get children thinking where the best place in their home is. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
