It was just so medieval in its content and religious themes. I know it was written by an Elizabethan writer but unlike most of these old writers I can't help feel he just doesn't stack up to scrutiny by anyone with more than Christianity on their mind. Might be of interest to anyone studying the thinking of people of the time but I'll take shakespear over this any day of the week Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

I realize that in a collection of 80 (or 127) works, not everything can stand out. Well, this one did, but unfortunately not in a good way. The blurb, as other reviewers have pointed out, was looking quite good, but doesn't fit the book at all.
I guess if you're into long Elizabethan ramblings about the devil and such things, this might be for you. Otherwise, I'm sure there are better books for you in this collection...
