The writer felt the need to work the phrase "love kills slowly" in as often as they could, and it was just... terrible. ( ) A great change of pace for cross stitch patterns. I have one problem with the book. Each project has a "photo" and "pattern". The "photo" give you a great feel for how the colors will blend. The "pattern" gives you exactly what floss to use. I first noticed in the "pattern" the back stitch is fat. So thick it covers up some of the details. But when you look at the "photo" it is pretty clear that a thick back stitch image has bend photo shopped over the picture. So both the "pattern" and the "photo" have been alter to try and make the projects look much smoother edge than they actually are or will be if you make them. Shame shame on the publishers or editor or who ever did this. This kind of book will attract first time X switchers, but will let them down on the basics. This is a great book for some one who has stitched before. Not a learners book. The paragraphs explaining how to stitch are insufficient for a first timer. Some kind of difficult rating would help and a page of stitching diagrams would be easy to add. Other wise awesome projects. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
This ain't your grandmother's cross-stitch. Ed Hardy's Love Kills Slowly Cross-Stitch is a counted cross-stitch book for a new generation of crafters. From pierced hearts to images of skulls and crossbones, Hardy's colorful, tattoo-inspired designs are perfect for stitchers looking for something bold and graphic. Each pattern comes complete with a full-color illustration of the original art, an illustration of the final product, and a full-color pattern and key. A how-to section teaches the basics of counted cross-stitch. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
