Some of the plotlines were solved somewhat simply, and I wanted more at the end, but it was a good ending to a good trilogy ( ) see my review of the 1st book for details of why i'm ambivalent about it. book is interesting and good but my creeped out feelings about the way the aliens act means i didn't enjoy it as much as i could. i'll also note that the perspective on this of one of the aliens made the creepiness even stronger, especially near the end. i dunno. The final volume of a famous scifi trilogy. The first volume was the best - painted a great scene - aliens taking over the remnants of the Earth's population after humans had just about destroyed themselves and their world in a war. Some humans accepted the inevitable and cooperated, others maintained the stupidity that had led to Earth's demise. The following two volumes continued the story and moved to other dilemmas facing survivors. The three books offer a master course in scifi. The author is incredibly creative - not in imagining alien technology, but in imagining the interactions of humans and aliens. Great reading. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
