Jake Riley is a kid that Lainey-Belainey is the only one that knows the truth about him. She ends up telling almost everyone that Jake was forcing to kill her if she told anyone about him when he was in her father's barn trespassing. Then in the end Lainey is in the barn feeding her calves food when Jake comes up behind her and has his dads gun ready to shoot her. When Lainey's dad comes home he shoots his shotgun right infront of Jake and Jake gives Lainey's dad his gun and finds out that there were no bullets in the gun. Jake said that he was not intending to shoot Lainey to kill her, so now Jake has to go back to Eldora again. Jake was going back to Eldora because he did manslaughter to his dad and hit him with a baseball bat when his dad was hitting him and made his ear bleed. You will find out if Jake goes back to Eldora or not.
I think this book is fairly good, because its talks about how some people are commited of doing things that are wrong. ( )
