I really liked Rye and thought he was the perfect Cowboy leading man. Seriously, he was the kind of man that most women would swoon over and I had no problem warming up to him. It took me a little longer to warm up to Austin but eventually she won me over. The small town, Rye's Family, and her grandmother friends were just a hoot though sometimes a little to nosy. However, growing up in a small town---I realized it was pretty much true to the way small town gossip works. There were a few lulls in the story but Carolyn quickly has you laughing again with her brilliant comedic timing. I laughed out loud more than a few times! Overall Love Drunk Cowboy left me warm and fuzzy--exactly what I want from my Cowboy Romances. Book Club View: We all thought this was a sweet story with a great leading guy. We all seemed to think a real-life Rye would not be a bad thing at all. Though in the beginning we all had varying degrees of warmness to Austin, by the end we were glad to see them together. We all thought there were laugh out loud moments and a few lull moments that felt like filler. We were all smiling by the end and thought it was a sweet Cowboy Romance. On a side note, we had a side conversation about watermelon wine. Has anyone ever tried it? This is a cute LOVE story, I will definitely be on the look out for the next in the series. It is a longer book and in just a couple spots drug on for me, but it was worth it in the end. I love all the secondary characters, especially Greta, Molly and Rye's siblings.Going into this book I knew that Carolyn Brown does not write erotica. So I was not disappointed by lack of steaming hot sex scenes. Ms. Brown writes cute, funny LOVE stories, with a lil' bit of sex thrown in, but you can still feel the chemistry. HTML: It's a battle of the sexes like never before in this delightfully funny, escapist cowboy romance from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Carolyn Brown! She's a self-made city girl... The last thing I expected out of my life was to be saddled with a watermelon farm deep in the Oklahoma countryside. I'm a city girl, through and through, and my stilettos are not meant for farming. The only solution is to sell the place before I'm stuck with a truckload of overripe watermelons, and I'm forced to set up a farm stand on the side of a dirt road. *Shudder.* But the minute I think I've got a way out, my drop-dead sexy new neighbor Rye O'Donnell shows up. Maybe there's time for a little cowboy love after all... He's a down-home rancher... Knowing my former neighbor Granny Lanier's property was going up for sale, I thought I might have a chance at my dream property. But then I met her granddaughter, Austin, and found myself knocked sideways by the sexy-as-hell, savvy businesswoman. Perhaps it's time to set aside my real estate ambitions and convince this gorgeous city slicker just how much fun a little fling on the farm can be. "A crazy fun read. Carolyn Brown's books give me that happy feeling...you know, that happy feeling that makes you want to sing."â??Love Romance Passion Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
