All in all not a bad book. It was a bit repeatative and a bit silly. I haven't read any of the previous books in this series and I don't really think I will. A good murder mystery is always fun but all the fashion nonsense is a turn off for me. I'll bet there are many many women who would love this book but with not knowing anything about the fashion things she's talking about, makes this book kind of annoying.
Plus the attitude of the heroine is obnoxious. I know that there are people out there who are like that ...... ugh. I seriously dislike people who behave that way in real life so reading about a horrible slacker with no priorities irks me.
The story itself is good though. i like the author's twists and the way her character responds to certain situations. I would recomend this book to a couple people because there isn't a whole lot of commitment needed to read this one and it's right up the alley of alot of females. Definately not for me though. ( )

Haley has a curse put on her by an elderly customer of Holt's who doesn't think she's working hard enough. Obviously, she hasn't read any of Haley's previous adventures! Holt's is opening a new store in Henderson, Nevada and Haley decides to 'volunteer' to go as a seasoned employee to help set up the new store. Before she even punches in, Haley stumbles over a dead body. This was a easy, fun read for a summer weekend! Haley's antics coupled with Howell's smooth writing always keep me interested. ( )

This is the Legally Blonde of the murder mysteries and Haley Randolph is the Ella Wood of crime solvers. An easy read, with some pretty colorful characters. The main character, Haley Randolph being one. A self proclaimed fashionista with an obsession with handbags and Starbucks. The mention of Starbucks on every other page is like Starbucks on every other corner, a bit annoying and over done. A fun easy read. ( )

this one came as a hardbound copy, which made my jaw drop. when my mouth finally closed, i sat down to read it, and finished that evening.

it is book 4 in a series, and so good i put the first 3 on my wl at amazon.

a young woman works at a department store, though "working" overstates her level of commitment, and ends up being shipped to a branch store in another state, where the curse put on her continues to dog her steps.

it's frothy, but good frothy. a fine light read. if you want a classic, head over to manybooks.com ! ( )

Haley Randolph is a fashionista and amateur sleuth and she works at Holt's department store. After an irate customer puts a curse on her things start to go wrong in her life. She decides to volunteer to be transfered to Holt's new store in Las Vegas. But the curse has followed her. She finds the body of her old school mate in the dressing room. Since she's the polices' number one suspect she decides to find the killer herself. While she doing that she's also trying to track down a "Delicious", the hottest purse of the season. Will she find the killer? Will she locate the bag of her dreams. Read this 4th book in the Haley Randolph Series to find out.
Cozy mystery fans will enjoy this new book. ( )
