This is why, and I'm direct quoting the description for the Spoon-Plant ID Markers, "If you're stressed, or need to get some aggression out or simply hate spoons, this upcycling idea is for you because you need to hit, hammer, and bang the hell out of spoons to make this." Hilarious! I love this guy and this book! Very clever and creative! ( ) A few -- a very few -- well, at least one -- attractive projects: I did like the look of the map cut into squares and hung on the wall in dozens of CD cases. The idea of stuffing zipped plastic shopping bags with styrofoam packing chips and calling them floor cushions was intriguing, but I wouldn't actually want to sit on them for reasons of comfort (they'd stick to your skin worse than Naugahyde) and durability (the seams on those things split when I carry yarn around in them, what would they do when you plop a whole person down on them). By far the majority of the rest of the projects were of the "heck no!" or "maybe the Brownies would like to try that" variety. Cutting up plastic water bottles to make flowers? Gluing stones to the side of canning jars to make "mugs"? Please. Don't. For the most part, this book simply shows you how to take junk and make it into different junk (or in the case of the canning jars, take useful stuff and make it into junk). It's too bad, because the author is quite a talented decorator and there's a lot of scope in the subject of upcycling. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
