( ) This book gave a small insight to the life of young Mozart and before he became the famous composer that he is known for today. I did not know that his father was such a looming figure in his life making him constantly practice at such a young age just so he can be the best. He probably wouldn't be the composer we know him as but I think it is just too much to seclude a child from a normal life just to play the piano. I believe the book’s intention was to give the reader a small glimpse into Mozart’s life as a child virtuoso and show his creativity. I found the book a bit sad. Mozart’s father is portrayed as a dark large figure looming over small Mozart. The illustrations are what really told the story. The child was not allowed to play with other children because of the power his father had over him. Mozart had to play. He was so isolated that his imagination ran wild and he discovered his own definition of “play” apart from what his father demanded of him. Through his constant practicing and playing in his wild imagination he made amazing music that is still beloved today. But, does the end justify the means? keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
