NCLA Review: Each of the 100 devotions in this book include Bible teaching, a devotional thought, a Bible verse to memorize and a prayer for the day. Two CDs are included with songs that will reiterate the truth of that day’s devotion. Many of the songs are familiar and others are new that were written by the author. Having personally met Stephen Elkins a few years ago in Nashville, TN, at a church librarian’s conference, I am now very partial to his writings. To listen to him tell his intent and to hear his heart for writing children’s books is phenomenal. 100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs is true to his style of writing in that it teaches our children to walk daily with the Lord and as early as is possible to build a foundation toward a lifetime relationship with God. Just as the title indicates, this book could be used as a daily devotional for children up to age 11. Rating: 4 —ARG ( )
