The ubiquity of dogs in human culture from very near our beginnings is, it would seem, global. We have a special realtors with dogs as hunters, helpers, companions. We sometimes, particularly as agriculture takes over and meat becomes scarce, eat them. They either keep bad people out of the afterworld or guide us through it. They are ritualistically raised, eaten, buried with their people…just a fascinating relationship. Also, dog days off august is the end of august in the northern hemisphere when Sirius, the Dog Star, is seen in the east at dawn opening the gates of death. We love dogs, especially women, because of their persistent juvenile morphology as compared to their close relative, the wolf, that does not maintain its juvenile features (big eyes, pointed snoot, smallish narrow heads) A really interesting anthropology. So many similarities across the globe, and the dogs are right along side us as we play out our human ways (which are mostly awful if I’m being honest: misogyny, barbarism, superstition, just a history of yuck). keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
