I love cookbooks inspired by books. Some of the recipes are really weird...(fried squirrel)...but some of the recipes actually look great. I have already marked 3 recipes that I plan on making tomorrow. Can't wait to try them! ( )

I read this as much as one can read a cookbook, though I tried to not read the descriptions on top if the recipe came from the second two books since I haven't read them yet. Since teens don't have cooking required in school anymore, I'm not sure how much of this they could do. On the other hand, many do cook and the abundance of cooking channels and shows may pique their interests in a book like this if they are a fan of the books or movies. Many of the recipes involving meat, game or wild herbs scared me. Not that I don't eat them, but I'm not good at cooking meat, I don't hunt, and I don't know where I'd find some of the herbs. One thing I did like were the desserts-they all looked yummy. I haven't decided what, if any, recipes I'll try. ( )
