Summary:
The book is broken into single pages of information. At the beginning of the book, the author tells about some of the general parts of a spider but then after that, each page is dedicated to a specific spider. It gives information about where they are located, what they look like, whether they are poisonous or not, etc. There are lots of great pictures and examples.
Commentary:
This book would be very helpful in a classroom. It contain loads of information on so many different types of spiders. It could be used for a research project about certain spiders. The illustrations are actual pictures of the real spiders themselves.
Reader Response:
Students will use this book as a starting point for picking out a spider to research. They will pick out of the spiders in the book; use that information among others (computers, dictionary, other books etc.) to create a 3D spider that will look like the spider that they researched. They will present the 3D spider with a paragraph of information about the spider.
