Holy smoking gun barrels, this was great. It was a cold blooded noir like hit man versus cop thriller. I loved this book.

I really liked this book. It started out with a bang (literally) and never let up. I don't often read books about the mafia so this was a welcome change! I felt all the characters were interesting and I was invested in their stories. If you can make an assassin interesting and sympathetic you have a great book.

Great characterization and a fun, fast read. I liked it a lot! (

Once I got past the first two pages, which covered a gunshot in excruciating detail, I really enjoyed this book . . . Until I got to the "end" which wasn't an ending. It left you hanging! I prefer my stories to start at the beginning, proceed to an ending and then end. But, I have been hooked, so I will read the next episode in this intriguing tale. (
