Well, you gotta give this series this: the second and third books are more enjoyable than the first one, if for no other reason than the fact that it does not take place mostly in a stupid High School setting. Instead we get some actual action, which is nice.

That said, this book let me down a lot. Now, there was some cool stuff: we got to see what the enkros did at their research facility, meet some new cool dragons, see some powers we hadn't heard of... but we still don't know what the fuck enkros are!? When Boring Will sees Jacinda's blood in the first book he asks if she is one of them, so I assumed we would find out that they were some sort of draki-hybrid-things, but no. Are they just scientists that have used draki blood like Boring Will? If so, why do they go by the name enkros?

The romance between Jacinda and Boring Will just gets worse in this book, as he is CONSTANTLY getting mad at her for wanting to protect her family and friends instead of running away with him. Yeah, how fucking HORRIBLE and SELFISH of her to do that. And Jacinda is pretty selfish, so the fact that she actually progresses away from that is nice character developement, and Boring Will is against it every step of the way? Lame, dude, lame (if you want my opinion she should've gone back to Chaparall and gotten together with Catherine).

I would also like to know how these dragons look? Because what kept disturbing me throughout book was the fact that in draki form they have HAIR!? I just can't get that to look good in my head, and now I'm wondering if they even look like dragons at all? I mean, fucking hair...

It's not the worst series I've read, but I think it would have been more fun to read it from Tamra's perspective than Jacinda's. ( )

I madly love(d) this series, thought to be honest I wanted so much more from its ending than I got.

The book plot itself was amazing. I'm so in awe of the main character, and my love of how these specific dragons are portrayed still. My heart got so much bigger for Cassian, again, the same way as I started leaning at the end of this book. And I desperately wish I knew where he was going off to after this. I think he got the short end of the stick from pretty much everyone and everything.

I loved learning more about the enemy. I loved the neat little tie-up at the end, though I did find it a little too convenient the biggest changes and adjustments of character for The Pride and Will had to happen while Jacinda was asleep. So we never saw the growth, accidents, affirming. ( )

I liked this book. I really did. I can't tell you anything in particular that I disliked about it; however, I felt a little bit let down at the end of the series. I don't know in particular what it was. I loved the characters. I was OK with how things ending even if it wasn't particularly what I wanted. I just felt like I wanted a little more from the series ender. I do recommend this series. I thought it was very creative and I loved the dragons. I've gotta find some more good dragon stories.

You have been warned. If you open the spoilers and the joy of the book is stolen from you, it's not my fault.

Point 1: In this book, we learn both of Jace's parents's first names. Magnus and Zara. Call me crazy, but Magnus sounds like a warlock (and not just cuz of TMI) and Zara sounds like something out of The Lion King

Point 2: Deghan!!!!! Omg, I just knew what was going to happen between him and Tamra

Point 3: So, in this book, we've finally gotten to the point where Will and JAce can run away and be together and be alone. But guess what? it doesn't happen that way.

Point 4: I figured out the tracking devices things as soon as Lia said "They're going to put a small, shiny metal thing in your head." I fugured it out AS SOON AS IT WAS MENTIONED. My God, it took everyone else so long to figure that out!
Was it obvious the moment it was mentioned to anyone else?

Point 5: towards the beginning-end, keep in mind that there's still far too much of the book for what happened to be true. and, for future reference, tranquilizing a draki who is part of a bonded pair makes the other draki think he's dead. In other words, don't do that.

Point 6: I know the ending was happy, but it left me feeling kind of there was something missing inside. I'm not sure, but I think the combination of Miram's death and Cassian's departure left some frayed ends, for me. ( )
