This book was honestly a different ride than some of the Zombie books. I have to say I was definitely a little turned around actually knowing how a lot of the things in the book began. For once you knew where it was coming from and why and it was done in such detail that you were not turned off from reading the story you actually wanted to go forward read know more and see just how it was going to end. Most Zombie stories throw you into the mix you wonder how it happened, what caused it? And When or where it was going to end. Was it just that one town or was it all over the world? You have a clear picture of who your heroine is or who your Hero for that matter but, with this one things kept turning one minute you might be cheering for the underdog the next you might actually hate his guts. Or the bad guy could have you hating his guts and then you find yourself cheering him on hoping that he will overcome his hatred and make that savior move.

The book is about of course the obvious zombies but, it comes with the start of the world normal as we know it like most. However, the twisted tale being portrayed by or from a monsters part of view. There is the back story the first version of why this happened and long ago how but, then there is the shift to the there and now as you start to witness every ones life before it is turned upside down. Dee, Steph, Lilith, Rocky all of the characters slowly come to life even the bad guys like Chains. Lilith of course is our instigator in this world the little succubus demon that she is you actually understand slowly why she wants out but you also don’t want her out of her prison so to speak cause once she is well… you want to know the full blow of things you pick up this book and read it. Definitely for the zombie lovers out there something new with a little bit of the old.

For those of the faint of heart though and not that into a lot of detail just want the zombie gore you may not be into it. This is a story worth reading I can’t stress it enough pick it up read it. I can’t help but love it and look forward to more. ( )
