But he is really great at catching flies. One day, however, he takes a bigger bite than he can chew and is hauled along for a long ride and an adventure with his buzzing friend. This is a cute picture book about a chameleon who can't seem to remember the lessons his mom taught him about camouflage. Whenever he tries to blend in to his surroundings, he always picks the wrong color! But he is really great at catching flies. One day, however, he takes a bigger bite than he can chew and is hauled along for a long ride with his buzzing friend. When at last his tongue is too tired to hold on any more, he lets go and finds himself in a strange room. He's scared, but he quickly has fun when he realizes he has finally got the hang of changing colors! The book is fun to read with kids, who always enjoy hearing about how chameleons can change colors. The text makes use of end rhymes, another thing that kids really like. A note in the book also points out how the message of the story is that learning is sometimes difficult but practice helps! This is a great lesson for kids who get frustrated easily when they find something too hard at first. The illustrations are brightly colorful and really "pop" out of the page, making for an interesting experience. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
