This is a classic of late Victorian erotica, almost certainly by Charles Carrington and published in 1905. It describes activities in which the age of participants might seem inappropriate in modern times, but this is largely an irrelevant feature. This legendary work features personae such as Elaine Cox, Noreen, Linda, Connie, Sally and Valerie, and their 'tormentors' Ibrahim, Miss Martinet and Dr Jacobus. A word of warning - parts of the text have appeared in erotic anthologies, and works appearing to be authored by Richard Manton may have drawn heavily on the material, without attribution. The work could be considered repetitive - this is one of the commonest faults of this genre - but it will always remain a classic, in itself representative of its era. ( )
