Another reason why I thought this book was really interesting was the pictures. The pictures were so authentic and interesting to me. By looking at these pictures, it made me visualize what it must be like to be standing on the rugged terrain of the Sierra Madre Oriental or eating Rompope. Each page had a picture that appropriate fit the related text. For example, one page talked about the food regions of Mexico and had a picture of Mexico on the page. It contained a key with pictures explaining cow, goats, and lobster. Barley, beans, etc. and each of those pictures were placed on Mexico. On the next page, it talked about all of the pictures mentioned. The book also included traditional Mexican meals with their recipes.
The main idea of this book is to become knowledgeable about the Spanish culture and learning about the background of Mexico and all of the aspects ( )
