Summary:
This book contains two stories with one on one side, and the other on the other side. The first story is Get Out. This story is about how it is morning time and the Super S Squad work on doing their chores. Once they finished their chores, most of the squad wants to stay inside and watch tv except Jen. Jen wants to go outside where she thinks of a lot of fun activities to do. She talks the squad into going outside, where they all end up having fun. The other story in the book is called Play Grounded. This is a story about how it is a rainy day outside and the Super S Squad ends up having fun inside with Rollo the Robot.

Personal Reaction:
I thought both of these were cute. I think this is very easy for a beginning reader to bridge to a chapter book. This helps them get into the swing of reading with the helpful use of pictures. I think the Super S Squad make it fun and exciting that kids can relate to.

Extension Ideas:
1) Have the students write in their daily writing journal about what they like to do on rainy days. Have the class discuss what they wrote afterwards.
2) Have the students draw their favorite activity to do outside then present their drawing and talk about it to the class. ( )

Summary:
It is a rainy day and the Super S Squad is upset because they can't go outside and play. Rollo, who is a robot, wants to try and cheer up the squad. He decides to let them play on him. He swings them around and lets them crawl on him as if he were a jungle gym. This made the squad happy and they ended up having fun after all. This is also a flip book. The other story is Get Out. This is about the Squad and them waking up and doing their chores and then relaxin. Jen wants to outside, but no one else wants too. Finally they go out and they are glad they did.

Personal Reaction: This book is perfect to get kids imaginations going. Again the illustrations are fun and they make it fun for the kids to read. I have never really read graphic novels, but now i really think as a kid i would have enjoyed them.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1) Have the kids write a story over a rainy day they had and have them tell What they did.
2) Have them come up with a game for inside play time on rainy days and have them work together as a group. This would build great teamwork skills.
