No Place Like Home continues Jonathan's and Fran's story as they arrive in Buckley. This story is slightly different from the rest as there are no monsters, and it is more or a set up for the coming stories.

While it was nice to read, it was really not something that I would recommend reading as a standalone. Luckily, you can get (almost all) short stories free from the author's website. ( )

I really like these glimpses into the Jonathan and Frances' lives. They're a fun part of the InCryptid universe. ( )

I liked this one better than "One Hell Of A Ride" because we learnt a lot more about this world. Though not much happens, it was enjoyable and now i'm really excited about starting "Discount Armageddon". I think reading these stories beforehand has been a great idea to get me used to the world and the creatures in it. And i love the talking mice - they're so cute!! :) So, yeah, i'm looking forward to starting the series for real now. ( )
