Another Well-Written Page Turner by CJ Lyons

Blood Stained is the 2nd installment of the Lucy Guardino series by author, CJ Lyons, and the 3rd of her books I've read. All three books are very fast-paced reads that will have you turning pages rapidly.

Without retelling the story of this FBI Thriller, it features a great three-dimensional female protagonist in Lucy Guardino. Not quite so much about her family life in this book as there was in the first, but Lucy has just come off a devastating incident and isn't quite herself yet.

Here, Lucy is paired up with Postal Inspector, Jenna Galloway, and their relationship has its ups and downs, with a well-drawn competitiveness between the two women, especially on Jenna's side.

Lyons' intense story-telling keeps you engaged and not wanting to put your Kindle down for a second. This author is great at building tension chapter by chapter. The well-conceived alternating narratives move the plot forward quickly to its conclusion.

Readers should be warned, the subject matter is dark and disturbing. I found Bloodstained to be another super read by an author that is fast becoming one of my favourite crime writers. ( )

See, “Snake Skin”. “Blood Stained” has everything a thriller/suspense should have. It is packed full of suspense,mystery,action packed and very intense. Mix Dirty Harry,and a devoted Soccer Mom you have FBI agent specialist Lucy Guardino. Lucy is a loving wife,devoted mother,loves her job and would do anything to keep your family,and others safe. With a child predator,small town secrets,suspense,mystery,tortured victims,and a killer who is not only a sadist,torturer,but who is a child predator and just plain evil. As Lucy and her colleagues try to save lives,children,they endanger themselves,their family and must find a killer before he does more harm. A fast paced story with characters that jump off the page and capture your heart. I love Ms. Lyons’ stories. A not to miss read but not for tender readers with tender feelings.Oh, and have your issues ready as you travel with Lucy,her colleagues,Adam( a lost child) and others into the dark world of child predators,tortured children and finding a sadist.
