Stevens and my second Ivy Granger read. Well-written with intriguing characters. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it & since I own both the Audible & Kindle editions I was able to follow along while being read to. Traci Odom’s narration added to the well-written book's enjoyment. E.J. Stevens is rapidly becoming a go-to author for me! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018). ( ) I wanted to like this book so much, I don’t know if it’s just the way E. J. Stevens writes but I feel like most of this book is Ivy telling us stuff or talking to herself. Instead of having good dialogue and action it seems Stevens post fact will just have the character say ‘this happened’ ... it just made the book feel so segmented and long because instead of being immersed in the action and what’s happening I was reading pages and pages of Ivy just telling me what happened. I ended up skipping forward to the action and dialogue a lot. Shadow Sight Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective Series By: E. J. Stevens Narrated by: Traci Odom I found this a cute psychic detective series and will certainly read more books by this author. Lots of fun creatures, adventure, characters and even a unicorn! It was a fun story with a good mystery. The narrator was great and was the glue that held things together. Great voices, emotions, and sounds. Wonderful job! I've read E.J. Stevens' Spirit Guide series and I really enjoyed it. I thought I would give this series a go. Notes: *I really liked the main characters voice. *The narrative often segues off the narration though as the MC explains things like what a pooka is, a bit of history, or a tangent. It disrupts the flow and I wish that the explanations could have been handled differently. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
