From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson comes a new novella collection, including a brand new, never-been-published story.

Stephen Leeds is perfectly sane. It's his hallucinations who are mad.
/> A genius of unrivaled aptitude, Stephen can learn any new skill, vocation, or art in a matter of hours. However, to contain all of this, his mind creates hallucinatory peopleâ??Stephen calls them aspectsâ??to hold and manifest the information. Wherever he goes, he is joined by a team of imaginary experts to give advice, interpretation, and explanation. He uses them to solve problems . . . for a price.
His brain is getting a little crowded and the aspects have a tendency of taking on lives of their own. When a company hires him to recover stolen propertyâ??a camera that can allegedly take pictures of the pastâ??Stephen finds himself in an adventure crossing oceans and fighting terrorists. What he discovers may upend the foundation of three major world religionsâ??and, perhaps, give him a vital clue into the true nature of his aspects.
Legion: The Many Lives of Stephen Leeds includes the novellas Legion and Legion: Skin Deep, published together for the first time, as well as a brand new Stephen Leeds novella, Lies of the Beh… (mehr)

An interesting, if strange, idea. I think this was actually too short, and probably needed more development to be sufficiently compelling. ( )

Really loved it. The concept was fascinating and had me hooked from the first paragraph. I really didn't want it to finish. ( )

Very nice book. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is too short... But other than that, an excellent concept with some hilarious remarks here and there. 'My hallucinations are about to drive me insane.' Really! ( )

Gods of Hype! Hype Gods - Hear me now.

When your annoying echo of Hype told me to read Twilight - I told you to shove it.
When your annoying whistle across the globe told me to LOVE Avatar - I told you I don't have time to watch Blue People. Besides, I love ATLA and I'm a Firebender.
When you howled from across oceans saying I should fall all over myself to read SJMaas - I said...hhhmmm, Maybe and put it on my TBR
When you scratched on the windows with that high pitched marketing telling me to Bow Down to Shadow and Bone - I said...meh, Okay why not (it was a solid 3.5/5)

But now, finally your hype-siren-banshee-echo yelling on the rooftops about how great Brandon Sanderson is has finally ensnared me.

Here I am, after all the hype, and you know what - I dig it. ( )

This really is a great story. Not only great but a bit unusual. It describes a man who has a lot of alter ego's but somehow it is different from all other books like that. It feels kind of like Preston & Child books crossed with stories about schizofrenia, crossed with James Bond. But different. Refreshing yet somehow familiar. Maybe it feels familiar because I have read (and loved) a lot of Sanderson's books and they are all well written and a bit unusual, not extremely unusual but he always finds a way of looking at things just a bit different.

I know. I am rambling. But it is this books fault. Or maybe not, but it seems to fit. :) ( )
