I haven't read the other books in the series but this did a decent job of providing enough background to follow along as far as the clan politics went. As mates, it's instalove and there's not a lot of character development, but the plot moves fast with action. It's enough to give an idea of whether or not I'd want to continue with the series. I'm a bit over the paranormal/urban fantasy these days but if I get back to it, I'll likely look this series up. 2 stars. ( )

This was a REALLY quick read. I didn't like it quite as much as the first two because I didn't get the chance to fall in love with these two characters as they fell in love. But it was nice seeing Boris find his mate. I hope to see more of them in future books so we can see how this pair gets along. ( )

This is an incredibly short story which to me often doesn’t work out so well when you have two people meet and fall in love or in bed so soon. But the premise of the story and abilities of the shifters in this world does allow for a connection between two people long before they ever meet. So surprisingly, the romance, even with a limited time span, didn’t feel at all rushed to me.

Somewhat different world when it comes to shifters in that they have some other magical ability that I haven’t seen before in shifter worlds built by other authors. I really like the concept created as well as the couple showcased. And wow, who wouldn’t like a huge tiger standing between you and a dangerous guy?

First book I’ve read in this series and am intrigued enough by this world to go back and purchase the first book. ( )
