This was a very cutesy book telling the importance that we can do whatever we want. The theme was shown through the little knight not having parents but having dragons that were his guardians. The very bright and saturated colors that the illustrator chose worked very well throughout the book and still were not overpowering. The choice in which to have the words go up and look different in the different pages of the book was a cute addition that gave a more whimsical look to the book. This was a short book that still gave a great message to kids that if they try hard enough they can be whatever they want.

The writing is simple, ranging from two words a page to four lines of only a few words each. A fun and silly story about waking up dragons. A cute book about morning routines. ( )
