Summary:
Cork is a muskrat that likes safe adventures, and Fuzz a possum that likes big and exciting adventures. Fuzz convinced Cork to go with him on a snowy adventure, Cork is hesitant. But Fuzz convinced and tricks Cork into coming on the adventure where they both discover how brave they really are.

Personal Response: This is a cute story about two friends, one more adventurous than the other. They go on an adventure together where Fuzz finds himself tricking Cork into doing things he does not want to do, but with all the fooling has to have some consequences, and Fuzz endures the consequence to realize the importance of when and when not to fool his friend. It’s a fun story that tells an important message to young readers.

This is a wonderful leveled reader for first through third graders. This book can be used to address social-emotional topics and develop discussions on when it is and it is not okay to fool someone you care about. This story can be used to discuss friendship, working together, and kindness. ( )
