I loved the Infernal Devices series so this manga had me totally obsessed. I can't wait to get my hands on all the other mangas in this series or the Mortal Instruments series! This was a perfect adaption and the character pictures were amazing!

Fun way to revisit the story. I'm not sure I would have understood what was going on in some parts if I hadn't already read the book, though. I'll have to quiz the kid at the library who read this before me. I'm pretty sure she didn't read the novel. I liked the way most of the characters were drawn, with the exception of Charlotte and Henry, who looked like a doll and a clown to me. Maybe it's a manga thing I don't understand. Still, I enjoyed this and I'm up for more.

Update after quizzing library kid:She said she understood it fine. I must be manga illiterate.

I love this series so much. I do however prefer the actual novel over the graphic novel. These are great as a refresher before Chains of Gold comes out. ( )

This is amazing! I love Clockwork Angel and this stays true to the story and is a beautiful depiction of some of my favorite characters and novel. ( )

This is the story taking place in Victorian London. There are vampires and shape-shifters, nephilim (the shadow-hunters keeping the down-worlders in line), and clockwork automatons, ready to wage war. It's also a story of a young woman caught up in all of this - unwittingly - who discovers she has special powers and that her family might not be who she thinks they are.

The art work was good, but a bit confusing in the action scenes. The author did a good job with the character development as the story develops in some surprising ways.

I got more involved in this story as it progressed. I'll continue on to the next volume. ( )
