"She's the brutally honest breath of fresh air on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, known for her dramatic divorce, her barely-there clothing, and her inability to keep her mouth shut. So why should she change now? Brandi Glanville tells all in this hilarious, no-holds-barred memoir. Fans have been waiting for Brandi's scoop on one of the biggest divorces of the decade, since her husband of eight years abandoned her and their two sons to marry country singer LeAnn Rimes. Not only does Brandi spill the beans about her side of the split, the lovable housewife shares the incredible wild ride that took her from a life in the ghetto to Hollywood's most elite circles. For the first time, Brandi talks about how she escaped a rough neighborhood on the outskirts of Sacramento and stumbled into a successful modeling career that swept her into a world of Paris Fashion Weeks, private jets, and uncircumcised penises. Before she knew it, Brandi was the perfect Hollywood trophy wife--at least until her marriage exploded. Today, the refreshingly filter-free housewife and unapologetic mom is the newest full-time cast member of Bravo's juggernaut franchise, where she often elicits raised eyebrows and gossip from her costars for her refusal to be the scorned ex-wife, to be bullied, to change her sarcastic sense of humor, or--on most occasions--to wear a bra. Sassy, raunchy, and compulsively readable, Drinking and Tweeting perfectly captures Brandi's open-book attitude, as she dishes about everything from her DUI, her cheating ex, her one-night stands, and the secret plastic surgery that made her "seventeen" again. You're sure to enjoy every page of this funny, upbeat, honest tale. Clear your schedule for an afternoon and grab your favorite cocktail, a comfy seat. and maybe a Xanax. But that's for later"--… (mehr)

I read this book back when Brandi Glanville was my favourite cast member from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. These days, she is not so much... But that doesn't mean that I won't review this fairly. This book delivers what it advertises. It is like sitting with your bestie, gossiping over drinks. You will want to grab a flute of Chardonnay and dawdle on the couch with this one. It is revealing and juicy and you just won't want to put it down. You will be able to relate to Brandi in so many ways and sympathize with her too. ( )

Quick, easy read, but rather cliché and cheesy towards the end. Interesting to read more details about the affair(s) and divorce. Feel bad for her. Eddie sounds like a big jerk and LeAnn a big b*tch.

Too many f-bombs (and it takes a lot to offend me regarding profanity! Esp. since I swear myself.) And it doesn't surprise me she contracted HPV (let alone any other possible STDs she may not have shared!, considering it sounds like she's slept around. Not that I blame her, really. But how safe was she?)

I do feel bad for her though. I just wish she'd get her temper and cursing in-check -- she'd be even more likable.

I wouldn't want to live that Beverly Hills lifestyle for anything. ( )

Well I must admit that I do not know this woman, or better yet should I be proud that I do not know her? lol. Yes I love reality TV but lately there are so many reality shows on that are not real but scripted. I want my reality TV to be reality! Among the is the Housewives of.. show. I did watch one show but I do not know which one. let me go look it up. It is with a Theresa a horrible woman. Okay I watched 2 seasons of The Housewives of new Jersey apparently.

Anyway, so I do not know this woman but I looked this book up on amazon and it looked fun and it has great and I mean great reviews, so I am giving it a try.

So far she does amuse me. I will copy one of her sayings here.

"To this point in my life, the only jobs I've ever had to worry about were boob jobs and blow jobs, anything beyond that was simply not in my wheelhouse"

Talk about being honest.

Okay I have to add another one although this means a lot more typing.

"In his defense he did tell me he was playing poker every Tuesday night. Silly me, I thought he was playing a card game. I didn't realize that he was actually playing "poke her" I guess it is my fault for not asking him to spell it?"

Finished it very quickly. If you like to hear some gossip and are not easily offended i think You'll enjoy this quick read.

Entertaining even though I've never watched any of the Housewives shows. The title amused me and so did the book. ( )
