It was almost as if it was written by someone who was younger and not a professional writer. Not because it was poorly written or anything but just because the way it was written. It was very intriguing. The story is about a vey very town called Cobtown where a girl and her family live and where they have a wild pig as a pet. One day these scientist come to check out the mineral gorge in town to try and discover new things to take back to their museum in town. Those scientist end up stealing the pig because it is a rare specimen and they intend on making it an "animal mummy" and putting it in the museum. The girl and her aunt and uncle are able to come in time and save the pig and go back to their little town away from the city. This is a story that is longer than most and has a good amount of writing but it would be a great grade 3 or 4 reading book for the class. Great illustration and a great story line all around. ( ) 3 scientists go into a small town, and a wild pig ends up missing! A family from the town goes searching for him, only to discover he is about to be mummified! I would not use this with a certain lesson. I didn't find the story as exciting as I thought it would be. Certain points the plot would intensify, but the end was abruptly. I might keep this in my class library, just in case someone finds it interesting. I did like how it was written in a journal prose. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
